This is a forum for conservative thought, though I encourage and hope for comments from those who might disagree with me, and my views.

Hey I stumbled upon your site while trying to find a new Savage podcast. I am also a “conservative, Christian, Ph.D. scientist, trained in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology”. Glad to know I am not the only one. Are you still doing science?
I’m still doing some science, but honestly, mostly as an educator. I’m not a tier one researcher or anything. I worked in academia and industry as a real scientist for a while, and I definitely prefer the environment I’m in now. To tell you the truth, I’m also an administrator, so a good deal – too much – of my time is spent doing admin stuff.
What about you, are still a wet scientist? What’s your specialty?
Yes I am still doing bench work very actively. RIght now I am doing GI epithelial biology, which I was initially indifferent to, but now am completely averse to. Mostly spending 14 hour days to get out of my current lab and get into a different one doing more of what I would like. I’m hoping the next lab will be a gateway to doing spider silk biomaterials research. Honestly, I could not do anything other than bench work, so I doubt I will ever run a lab of my own. Your perspective as someone who has done both academe and industry is very interesting to me.
I trying to do some reserch on the Cairo Conference. I have some artifacts that my late Uncle Albert Horn left me. Could you help?
Thanks Robet Mahler
Hi Robert,
Thanks for your response. What type of assistance do you need? How can I be of assistance?
By the way, I ride a restored ’83 Honda XL600R.
